Halloween Facts No 2

Dressing up at Halloween originally began hundreds of years ago as part of a superstition. It was believed that on Halloween, ghosts would come back and walk the earthly realms. In order for people to avoid bumping into these ghosts, they would dress up as ghosts and ghouls in the hope to disguise themselves and fit in.  
Weird huh?!

But this is not the only instance where people will dress up in order to avoid supernatural creatures. In some parts the world it is believed that if a young man wears lipstick and eyeshadow he will avoid the advaces of the ‘Succubi’; a creature who will drain the young man of his energy whilst he sleeps.
