Day 11 – White cristmas

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas”

 

Well keep on dreaming! Although bookies were today inundated with bets for a white Christmas this year; it seems, statistically speaking, to be unlikely. According to the Met office, London has only had 10 white Christmases since 1900. Technically though, I would like to argue that in fact we have only had 3 (to me a ‘White Christmas’ would consist of a covering of snow) whereas the met office would argue that it is when “a single snow flake (perhaps amongst a shower of rain and snow mixed) to be observed falling in the 24 hours of December 25th”.
