Spider-Man Miles Morales PREMIUM FORMAT FIGURE from Sideshow Toys
Stop what you’re doing and check out this Spider-Man Miles Morales premium format figure! Ok, now calm down…
When it comes to Spider-man there are two types of people, the ones who know Peter Parker as Spider-Man and have never even heard of Miles Morales, and those that have… actually heard of him. Ever.
The thing is, Spider-Man as Peter Parker has been around since his first appearance in 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15, and that Spiderman has not just been in comics, but has been brought to screen in many, many, MANY incarnations, but has also been portrayed in myriad cartoons, live action shows and video games. So it makes sense that poor ol’ Miles Morales is fairly unknown by the large majority of the population that has heard of Spiderman. Even fairly hardcore Marvel nerds look at me bemused when I mention the “other” Spiderman. I guess that’s because, for the last 10 years, you have been able to be a Marvel nerd and only watch the Films and TV shows.
If you haven’t heard of Miles, then you are kind of missing out, for many reasons – one being that you might ignore this beautiful premium format figure! But it won’t be long before Miles makes his big screen debut in Spider-man: Into The Spider-Verse, Sony’s foray into Animated Spider-man films. This will undoubtedly open up the Miles Morales story to a few more people, even if they only see the trailer.

So Who is Miles Morales Anyway?
Miles Morales became Spiderman in 2011 following the death of Peter Parker in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), following the death of Peter Parker. Miles, an Afro-Latino teenager, is the second Spider-Man to appear in Ultimate Marvel, an imprint with a separate continuity from the mainstream Marvel Universe.
Although Morales featured in the Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man comic book series, he is not the lead character in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series that debuted in April 2012 on Disney XD, but he was later added to the main cast in 2016. – Wikipedia
The thing is, even I have a hard time saying goodbye to Peter Parker, but this Premium Format figure from Sideshow is stunning! I think I may even prefer it to their Peter Parker Spiderman figure, as the pose just seems more like Spider-man to me – it is so dynamic and interesting. So, if you love a good figurine, and are in the market for a Spider-man figurine, then I really think this should get your consideration. And if you really struggle with it not being Peter Parker, then I guess you could give it a new lick of paint.

When will The Figurine Be Released?
I have some good news and some bad news… The good news is that you’ll have a while to collect all your pennies to afford this figure, but the bad news is there is quite a long wait, with the current estimate being it will arrive between Feb 2019 – Apr 2019. Yes, 2019! But weighing in at £388.78 GBP or $535.00 USD, the additional time to beg or rob banks save money is definitely appreciated.
