Tesco is taking over the world.
In its latest attempt at cornering the market, (Which market? … All of them of course); Tesco has announced that it is moving into films.
Yup that’s right, films. The only saving grace in their attempt at world domination, is that you won’t see the Tesco logo in cinema’s just yet. They are starting with ‘straight to DVD’ adaptations of Jackie Collins novels.
But before you get too freaked out, they have said that they will only be involved in the sales and marketing and not the creative process. Regardless, I will be waiting with baited breath to see what a wonderful job they make of it.
And if project number one is a success?
Well it won’t be long folks; this decade could be the year of Tesco rivalling Disney in the movie market, now that is worth waiting for.
Tee Hee.
