Japan Tsunami and weird ways to give
As you will undoubtedly know, unless you’ve just returned from a lengthy stay under a rock, Japan was recently hit by one of the worst natural disasters in modern times. I could give you some info about how close the earthquake was to japan, giving only about 5minutes warning of the impending tsunami, but none of that really matters now – all that really matters is getting Japan back on it’s feet and giving to charity to help that happen.
Now for gamers and tech junkies alike Japan has always held a special place in our hearts. It is after all the home of Nintendo and Sony as well as many games companies and publishers. So it is rather fitting that a way in which you can help out, but also get a little something in return is to buy a game or 2.
Capcom recently announced that they are lowering the price of the Street Fighter IV on the iphone and that all proceeds (from now until March 22nd) will go directly to supporting victims of the tsunami in Japan. But they weren’t the only ones! Now Sega has joined in and included all of their Sonic the Hedgehog games from the store. So if you are strapped for cash this could be a way to help out.
Street Fighter IV
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
