Sony Walkman – RIP

The Walkman is dead. RIP. 1979-2010

I saw on the news that the walkman is in fact dead as Sony has ceased production of it in Japan. However it will still be produced in China and distributed to the world… Soooo… Long live the WALKMAN! Ummm… Slow news day!?

Not only that, the Walkman brand is also used on Sony’s MP3/PMP devices, which are really the spiritual successors of the walkman, being that you are hard pressed to even FIND a cassette tape these days. So not really much news here really. Move along nothing to see.
